How I approach design:
I believe the key ingredients of good design are research, intention and a little bit of love. That is, take the time to understand the client/project, always have reasons to backup your design and really take ownership of your role.
How I got here:
I was fortunate to know what I wanted to do at a young age and – as you may have guessed – it was graphic design.
I took that passion and earned a Bachelor's degree from California State University, Long Beach. Soon after, I moved to Fort Worth, Texas, running the family business by day and focusing on my freelance design career at night. A few years later, I was given the opportunity to join the design team at a PR agency in Dallas, where I designed, art directed and helped bring brands to life for more than five years. My love for nature (and coffee) brought me to the Seattle area, which is where I am today.
I enjoy reading, watching HGTV and/or Food Network, running the local trails and exploring. Guilty pleasures include puns and ice cream.
